India Monthly Smartphone Model Tracker (Online Channels), July 2025
Overview: India smartphone market grew 2% YoY in July 2025, supported by sustained momentum across both offline and online channels. Growth was fueled by aggressive sales promotions during Amazon’s Prime Day and Flipkart’s GOAT sale, alongside widespread monsoon offers in mainline retail. Brands stepped up launches in July with 29 new models, up from 19 in June. The wider refresh strengthened portfolios across price bands, kept consumers interested, and added momentum alongside ongoing sales promotion. vivo led the market with 18% share, leveraging its balanced offline-online presence, attractive retailer incentives, and strong sell-out of key models such as the X200 FE, Y400 Pro, and Y19 5G. The Y and T series continued to anchor its volume. Samsung ranked second with 16% share, benefitting from price cuts and promotional schemes on its A and S series devices. The launch of its next gen foldables Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 received record pre-orders and strong initial traction, reinforcing its premium positioning.
