Overview: According to Counterpoint Research Market Pulse data, from July 2024 to August 2025, Huawei, vivo, and Xiaomi ranked as the top three in China’s smartphone market, with market shares of 17.6%, 17.6%, and 16.4% respectively, collectively accounting for over half of the market. Chinese brands are committed to entering the high-end segment by developing premium flagship products and have achieved significant share gains in the 4,000–6,000 RMB price range. The success of Huawei, Xiaomi, and vivo in the market is underpinned by sustained high R&D investment, forming a triple moat built on technology, products, and ecosystem.
