Market Highlights:

  • Apple marked the biggest presence in the list with five spots, followed by Samsung with four and Xiaomi with one spot. The top 10 smartphones contributed 23% of global sales for the quarter.
  • Apple's iPhone 17 Pro Max led the list, closely followed by the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro. The upgrades in the iPhone 17, like higher refresh rate, base storage and RAM, resulted in higher sales compared to its predecessor.
  • Samsung's Galaxy A56 was the best-selling Android smartphone for the quarter, closely followed by the Galaxy A36 and the entry-level Galaxy A07. Wider presence and better affordability and value continue to drive sales for the Galaxy A series.
  • The Galaxy S25 captured the tenth spot, as the brand continues to focus on flagship smartphones and AI capabilities. Promotions in the second half further pushed the sales.
  • Xiaomi's Redmi A5 captured the ninth spot, driven by higher sales in emerging markets like Latin America and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

  • Apple and Samsung captured five spots each in the global list of top-10 best-selling smartphones in Q3 2025, with the iPhone 16 leading with 4% share due to higher sales in India and Japan.
  • The iPhone 17 Pro Max captured the tenth spot as the series outperformed its predecessor globally, supported by replacement demand.
  • All of Samsung’s five entries in the list came from the Galaxy A series, with the models registering similar sales shares while effectively targeting different consumer segments.

Market Highlights:

  • Apple’s iPhone 16 remained the world’s best-selling smartphone for the second consecutive quarter, further extending its lead over the iPhone 16 Pro variants, which followed in the next two positions.
  • Apple’s latest smartphone, the iPhone 16e, entered the top 10 in Q2 2025 owing to strong sales in Japan and the US.
  • Samsung captured four spots in the list. The mid-segment Samsung Galaxy A16 5G led within the brand.
  • Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra continued to perform well owing to strong marketing around GenAI features and increased focus on flagship series from Samsung.
  • The Redmi 14C 4G was the only smartphone from Xiaomi in the list. The smartphone stays resilient in emerging regions like Latin America and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
