The global OLED smartwatch display market is expected to decline 2% YoY in 2026, according to Counterpoint Research's Smartwatch Shipment and Technology Report. The decline reflects softer demand and reduced panel procurement from major brands, including Apple, HONOR, Huawei and Samsung, as rising component costs and increasing price sensitivity weigh on the market.

Global OLED smartwatch panel revenues remained flat YoY in 2025, despite ongoing shifts in supplier market share and display technology mix. Flexible OLED panel revenues were unchanged YoY, even as shipments increased 8%, reflecting continued ASP erosion amid intensifying supplier competition and OEM efforts to manage display costs. Demand for premium smartwatch designs supported flexible OLED shipment growth, while pricing pressure limited revenue gains.

Global OLED smartwatch panel revenues remained flat YoY in 2025, despite changes in supplier market share and display technology mix. Flexible OLED panel shipments increased by 8% YoY, supported by demand for premium smartwatch designs. However, flexible OLED revenues remained unchanged as declining panel ASPs, intensifying supplier competition, and OEM cost-reduction efforts offset shipment gains.

Looking ahead, OLED smartwatch panel revenues are forecast to decline 10% YoY in 2026, significantly outpacing the projected 2% decline in unit shipments. Rigid OLED revenues are expected to decrease by just 1% YoY, supported by relatively resilient demand for entry-level and mid-range smartwatches. In contrast, flexible OLED revenues are projected to fall 17% YoY as weaker premium demand, higher component costs and continued pricing pressure weigh on the segment. This divergence underscores the growing importance of affordability and cost efficiency in smartwatch display purchasing decisions.
