Market Monitor - OEM Shipment by Price Band, Q2 2026
Overview
Following up on the series of quarterly Market Monitor reports, this is our latest report highlighting the price band share for 70+ brands. This report from Counterpoint’s Market Monitor service highlights the shipments for major smartphone and feature phone brands in the smartphone by price band.
While the total smartphone market declined by 7% YoY in Q2 2026, the decline was not uniform across all price points. Given the greater impact on the Bill of Materials (BoM) for lower-end smartphones, it is the lower price brackets that have seen the greatest decline. The sub-$250 tier, for example, declined by 16% YoY. Emerging markets, meanwhile, with a greater reliance on lower-end smartphones, also declined more than the global average.
