BOE Holds Mass Production Shipment Ceremony for B16 G8.7 OLED

BOE held a mass production delivery ceremony on June 17 for its B16 Gen 8.7 OLED fab in Chengdu, marking the commercial launch of one of the world's first high-generation OLED production.

B16 fab is designed around a substrate size of 2,290 mm × 2,620 mm and has a planned production capacity of 30,000 sheets per month. The fab is capable of producing both flexible and hybrid displays, utilizing a rigid substrate with thin-film encapsulation (TFE). The production line employs both LTPS and LTPO backplane technologies to address a wide range of applications.

Jayden Lee joined Counterpoint Research as part of its acquisition of DSCC, where he was Director of Display Equipment and Materials. He is located in Seoul, Korea. Jayden has around 20 years of experience working in the flat panel display. Since 2005, he was employed at Ushio Korea, a leading light source and equipment company which plays an important role in the lithography supply chain. While at Ushio, Jayden had responsibility for light sources and related equipment used in photo and deposition processes as well as FPD substrate cleaning.
