MediaTek wrapped 2025 on a high note and is setting its sights on bold new frontiers in 2026 and beyond. At MediaTek Analyst Day 2026, Counterpoint Research's Jeff Fieldhack had a quick chat with MediaTek’s Eric Fisher, Corporate SVP and Head of Global Sales, to unpack the numbers, the roadmap, and the headwinds ahead.

Key Takeaways from the discussion:

MediaTek saw record revenues in 2025, with 15.5% YoY growth. Key drivers included strong performance in their flagship mobile business, alongside notable expansion in their smart edge segment.

On the automotive front, Fisher sees near-term gains primarily coming from China while acknowledging that long-term growth could be seen from partnerships like NVIDIA (integrating NVIDIA's GPU into MediaTek's CPU subsystem).

One of the most notable topics during the event was MediaTek’s vision for data centers. The Data Center segment is targeting $1 billion in revenue in 2026, with growth into the multi-billions thereafter. Fisher believes that with proper execution and close collaboration with partners like TSMC, MediaTek will be on track to meet revenue expectations.
